This photo depicts the first recorded sighting of the Settrington Ghost. It depicts a man standing in a forrest looking out with interest or concern. Unfortunately a leaf is obscuring his head so it is hard to see the spirit's intent.
Elderly man sighted by Settrington Beck
In 2012 this photo of an elderly man was clearly seen standing between the trees running along Settrington Beck.
Sighting in home after repeated outdoor sightings
In the autumn of 2015 a lady (who has requested not to be named) captured this image of what appears to be a chimney sweep returning to service her chimney. The lady reports having previously seen a man standing in various locations around the village at night. Shortly after she started to see him in her home where she managed to capture this picture.
